Paint Correction

Ceramic Evolution can restore  your scratched, faded or damaged paint work to a slick mirror like finish once again. Most of these are imperfections inflicted by Automatic / DIY car washes or poor wash techniques where sponges are used which can trap dirt and grit between the sponge and the paint work and scratch the surface resulting in swirl marks or even worse, deep scratches.

Paint Correction involves a highly experienced operator measuring the paint work with a Digital Paint Thickness Gauge in several locations on each panel to determine how much paint is left on the vehicle, the paint work is clay barred to remove embedded contamination and imperfections are removed by machine polishing down to the depth of the defect to permanently remove them, this will remove such things as swirl marks, scratches, holograms, oxidation, & buffer trails by using different combinations of compounds, abrasive polishes, finishing polishes and buffing pads to specifically suit your vehicles paint work.

Ceramic Evolution will not leave buffer trails like inexperienced operators or use products that contain fillers that will simply wash out within weeks, all products used are premium high quality polishes imported from the USA and Europe

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. But, any vehicle with scratches, swirls, chips, or oxidation should be fixed before applying PPF film. New clear bra films are so optically clear, some scratches will be visible through the film. We can evaluate the paint finish with you and give our expert opinion of how to proceed.

Mercedes, Smart, Subaru, BMW. Mini, Kia, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mazda, Hyundai, Genesis, Porsche, Nissan, Infiniti, Mitsubishi, Volkswagen, Volvo, Buick, Cadillac, GMC, Chevrolet, Honda, Acura, Jeep, Ram, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Toyota, Lexus, Ford, Lincoln, Tesla, McLaren, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bugatti. We have been fortunate enough to do almost all.

Yes, but we recommend waiting at least 48 Hours for the film to dry & completely adhere before using a car wash . We recommend using a Touch-Less Car Wash ONLY!

You can wash your vehicle as you normally would. If using a pressure washer keep the head back 2-3 feet from the film. The only thing you need to do to care for PPF is try to not let the bugs and bird poop bake into it in the sun. After a wash we recommend wiping down the surface with a Detail Spray.

Rock hits are considered wear and tear of the film. The warranty covers yellowing, peeling, bubbling, and de-laminating. However, inform us of the situation and we can usually replace just the damaged portion.

Yes. The wrap comes with a 10 year warranty against yellowing, peeling, de-laminating and bubbling.

We can apply paint protection film to nearly any paint surface of the vehicle. We can do everything from the headlights and bumper to the entire vehicle!

No. The film is a very clear multi-layer film. The standard package does have a noticeable line across the hood and fenders. But full panels are nearly invisible. There will be some seams or relief cuts in the kit, but that is standard with every film installation. Those help prevent peeling or bubbling.

Out with the old and in with the new. Waxing is an old way of protecting the paint on your car, but a ceramic coating offers hands down a better finish and protection than wax. Wax sealants provide temporary protection to your car’s surface and eventually wear off. Meaning a fresh coat has to be reapplied a few more times each year? With a single ceramic coating, you will eliminate the need of ever getting a wax job done on your vehicle.

Ceramic coating is long-lasting, and that indirectly makes it extremely cost effective. Think of it this way; the fact that you don’t have to always pay to have paint protection added to your car every 3-4 months. Additionally, the scratch resistance of ceramic coating eliminates the risk of exposing your vehicle to swirl marks, or scratches. You, therefore, do not need to spend extra money on paint correction services in the future.

How about we do a model fiscal breakdown of how much you spend if you don’t have a ceramic coating. Say you wax your car, and we know that it needs to be reapplied after every three months. That costs about $200 for a quality wash and wax, and you do that four times a year. You end up spending $800 per year and $4000 after five years. If you invested in a premium ceramic coat for your car, you would spend on average about $1000 and save $3000 over five years since the premium ceramic coating is permanent. Just think about it, Ceramic coating is an investment for the future.

An unprotected surface makes it easier for dirt and grime to find its way into the tiny pockets and sink into them making your cars paint oxidize faster. A protective Nano-coating or ceramic coating, works at molecular level to ensure the surface remains smooth and even. Meaning that even when the dirt comes in contact with the coating, it doesn’t find a place to latch on to and rolls off the surface. If you are dealing with bird droppings or grease, then you can easily wipe it off the surface. It won’t leave a stain, and your car’s exterior will always maintain its original pristine state.

Another notable perk of ceramic coating is its hydrophobic ability. Hydrophobic means that it changes the surface tension on the paint and actually starts to repel water. Consequently, the ceramic coating also eliminates the chances of water spotting from droplets of water that may remain on the surface after most of it gets repelled from the hydrophobic surface. Water spotting occurs when water evaporates from your vehicle’s surface and leaves minerals behind that form visible spots.

Traditional paint protection can last up to four months before needing a fresh application. Also with traditional paint protection there isn’t any guarantee that the wax or sealant won’t fade off or get scratched within the first two months or sooner depending on your driving habits and environmental conditions. Ceramic coating’s, on the other hand, lasts way longer than regular paint protection since it’s infused with special polymers and additives. The result is a great chemical bond that can withstand the most aggressive elements and chemicals.

A car’s exterior is continuously exposed to the sun, and that’s how its paint starts to dull and fade due to oxidation – think of paint protection as sun screen for your car. A layer of ceramic paint coating will act as a sun screen and bounce off the sun’s UV rays and prevent oxidation from happening. Your car will, therefore, maintain its original color, and you won’t have to reapply a wax or sealant every few months.

Ceramic coating’s also offers protection from chemical stains and etching. Your car is often exposed to naturally acidic contaminants from either acid rain, washing your car with acidic detergents or hard water stains. Ceramic coating’s, therefore, creates a chemically resistant layer that prevents chemical contaminants from forming a bond with your vehicle’s paint. This action prevents the formation of chemical stains and etches from your car’s body.

It’s important to note that this Nano-coating technology does not affect the car’s original paint in any negative way – it only enhances the richness of the color of the car.

A Paint Correction service can take anywhere from 3 hours to 2 days depending on the overall condition of the paint work and the amount of work involved.

To ensure we deliver high quality workmanship we need to perform our Paint Correction service in a controlled environment.

We strive to produce a perfect finish however a number of things have to be taken into consideration such as the budget and not all imperfections can always be removed as they may be too deep, affected the clear coat or simply there is not enough clear coat left on the car to polish back.

Due to there being many different types of vehicles and the condition of the paint work can vary greatly we can only give an estimate, the final cost would depend on how much work is involved. Please Contact Us and we will be able to give you an estimate.

As mentioned in the answer above a Paint Correction is generally a much more extensive machine polish by a professional who will take the time to get the paint work right and remove the imperfections. As a guide, a Stage Two Correction can take approx. 30-45 min per panel, times this by 10-13 panels on a car and it comes to 5-9hrs just to machine polish the car alone! If you are after a cheap cut n polish, chances are you will get cheap quality work!

Technically there is no difference, they are both “Machine Polishing”. However, a “Cut n Polish” is a term you will generally find being used by Car Wash Cafe’s and by cheap Detailers doing a “Quick Buff”. A Paint Correction is generally a term used by a professional who has a keen eye for detail and chases every imperfection to get the paint work in perfect condition with a combination of polishes, polishing pads, machines and techniques that suit the type of paint work on your vehicle.
